Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
On your arrival at Srinagar airport, make your way to Dal Lake to check into a houseboat, which will be your accommodation. Here, you can enjoy dinner and settle in for the night.
Day 2: Srinagar – Pahalgam – Srinagar
Begin with an early breakfast before departing for a day trip to Pahalgam, situated at an altitude of 2,130 meters. Originally a humble shepherd’s settlement, Pahalgam has evolved into a premier resort destination in Kashmir. Take a leisurely stroll or a pony ride across the picturesque pine forests to Mini-Switzerland (Baisaran). You also have the option of a guided tour around Pahalgam, visiting the Betaab Valley, Chandanwari, and Aru Valley. The Betaab Valley, named after a popular Bollywood movie, is characterized by its verdant meadows framed by snowy mountains. Chandanwari, accessible by car, is noted for its flat landscape and is the commencement point for the sacred annual pilgrimage from July to August. After exploring, head back to Srinagar for dinner and another overnight stay on your houseboat.
Day 3: Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar
After breakfast, set off for Gulmarg, known for its striking natural beauty and labeled as the “Meadow of Flowers” and the “Switzerland of India.” Have lunch in a local restaurant and spend the afternoon exploring Gulmarg’s attractions. This location is famous for its ski resort and holds the title for the highest 18-hole golf course in the world. Options for the day include a peaceful walk, a pony ride through expansive meadows, visiting the high-altitude golf course, or taking a Gondola ride. Gulmarg, discovered in the 16th century, was a favorite escape for the Mughal Emperor Jahangir, and its beauty remains unparalleled. Conclude the day by returning to Srinagar for your overnight stay, either back on the houseboat or at a hotel.
Day 4: Srinagar – Departure to Delhi
Kick off your final day with breakfast followed by a visit to some of Srinagar’s renowned gardens. After lunch at the hotel, you will depart for Srinagar Airport to catch your flight to Delhi.
